BOROBUDUR TEMPLE THE WORLD WONDER HERITAGES
Borobudur Temple is located at Magelang, Central Java, Indonesia. About 800 Century the temple was build by the Buddha Mahayana Religion on the Samaratungga Emperor the Wangsa Syailendra generation (Ancient Mataram Emperor). Borodudur has 1460 relief and 504 stupa. By that time this temple was use to pray.
The name of Borobudur is took by the word of budhara wich mean a terraces mountain. Borobudur consist of 10 levels with 42 meters of height. Six levels from the under are in box form, 3 level upper is in the circle form, and upper level is Buddha Stupa which direct to west. Every level is drawing the human stage life. The base is called Kamadhatu which symbolize that human still bounded by desire. Four levels upper are called Rupadhatu which symbolize the human which free by the desire but still bounded by kind(face) and form and on this levels the Buddha statue placed opened. Three levels upper where Buddha placed in the full of holes stupa was call as Arupadhatu. Arupadhatu means the human which free from desire, kind (face), and form. And the upper level is called as Arupa which means heaven the place of Buddha.
The walls of every level have beautiful relief which show how clever the maker is. If you walk by the watch needle you can see the Ramayana story by the relief. All of the relief show the teachings of Buddha.
At 20 Century Athisa, Buddhism from India, was visit the Borobudur Temple. By the visit and Buddha Teaching Manuscript from Serlinpa (one of the Sriwijaya King), he developed the Buddha Teaching. He was become a head of Vikramasila Temple and teach the Tibet peoples the way to practice Dharma. The six manuscripts was resume become an teaching core which called “The Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment” or it’s known as Bodhipathapradipa.
